Hello, I am Iris. I am 31 years old, and I live in Cebu City, Philippines. I am a Mac geek, a traveler, and most of all, a writer.
My love for words came early. I was 3 years old when I started reading. At that age, I refused to speak anything but English. This proved to be a godsend because I was able to understand the nuances of grammar early on, so I had the chance to devote the next few years of my life into exploring it.
From then on, it was only a matter of putting my words and thoughts on paper. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always kept a diary. And I’ve always been writing. From random little quips about my day to poetry – I wrote them all. Even back then, writing was as natural as breathing for me. In fact, it may even have been too natural because as I was growing up, it never occurred to me that I could be a writer.
Many bad education and career choices later, it finally hit me that writing was what I wanted to do with my life. It all began with blogging. I built friendships with like-minded individuals, writers who encouraged me to pursue my passion. They pointed me in the right direction to begin my online writing career, and in late 2006, that’s exactly what I did.
I started writing search engine optimized (SEO) articles part-time. The opportunity came hard on the heels of a promotion I just got from my then day job, and it took everything I had to keep the balance between necessity and passion. But I plod on.
Eventually, I gave up my job, moved to another country, and pursued a completely different career. Writing stayed with me. And when I found out (the hard way, mind you) that my new career was going nowhere, it was writing that saved me. Less than a year after I started my online writing venture, it finally became my full-time job.
I’ve never looked back since.
It wasn’t always easy. Clients came and went. Projects, inevitably, ended. Competition was often fierce. I learned that online content writing can only take one so far. From there, one needs to learn how to build links, understand codes, and always, ALWAYS keep up with the trends. They say change is inevitable, and it is never more true than it is on the Internet. So I learned to change with the times and pick up new skills along the way.
Today, I am not only an SEO writer; I am an Internet marketer, too. I have helped dozens of clients achieve first-page rankings in the SERPS for their respective keywords by writing good content, employing the best link building strategies, and maximizing social media potential.
I am a professional to the core. I meet deadlines and exceed expectations. I believe everyone should get their money’s worth, and I can say with all honesty that I’ve earned the trust of the people I’ve worked with.
Whatever your project, I’m ready to help you every step of the way. Feel free to look around and see what I can do for you, and contact me if you have questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
